Maltrato psicológico y abandono infantil - Prevention

Prevención:

Los programas comunitarios, como las visitas domiciliarias por parte de enfermeras y trabajadoras sociales, pueden ayudar a las familias a cambiar los comportamientos o a prevenir el inicio del maltrato en familias de alto riesgo.

Los programas escolares diseñados para mejorar la crianza, la comunicación y la propia imagen pueden ayudar a prevenir el maltrato futuro y pueden ayudar a identificar a niños maltratados.

Las clases acerca de la crianza son muy útiles. Se invita a los adultos recién casados, que no tengan niños, a tomar dichas clases antes de que cada niño nazca, dado que la dinámica del hogar cambia con el nacimiento de cada hijo.
