Hiperglicemia en bebés; Nivel de glucemia alto en bebés

Síntomas:

Con frecuencia, los bebés con hiperglucemia no presentan síntomas.

Algunas veces, los bebés con niveles altos de glucemia producen cantidades considerables de orina y se deshidratan. La glucemia alta puede ser una señal de que el bebé tiene estrés adicional en su cuerpo, debido a problemas como infección o insuficiencia cardíaca.

Signos y exámenes:

Un examen de sangre para verificar los niveles de glucosa (glucemia) se puede hacer a la cabecera del paciente o en un laboratorio.
