Los bebés con hipocalcemia a menudo no presentan síntomas. Algunas veces, los bebés con bajos niveles de calcio están agitados o experimentan temblores o espasmos. En raras ocasiones, tienen convulsiones.
Estos bebés también pueden tener una frecuencia cardíaca lenta e hipotensión.
