Se envía una pequeña muestra de sangre del bebé al laboratorio para realizar un conteo sanguíneo completo (CSC) y una fórmula leucocitaria. Un CSC revela el número y tipo de glóbulos rojos y blancos en la sangre, mientras que la fórmula leucocitaria ayuda a determinar el número de diferentes tipos de glóbulos blancos presentes en una muestra de sangre.
