Síntomas:

Las infecciones cutáneas por estafilococos provocan un área con enrojecimiento, inflamación y dolor en la piel. Puede haber drenaje de pus u otros líquidos del sitio. Es más probable que los síntomas se presenten donde la piel haya sido cortada o frotada o en áreas donde haya más vello corporal.

Cuando los pacientes contraen SARM en centros médicos, las infecciones tienden a ser graves. Estas infecciones por estafilococos pueden estar en el torrente sanguíneo, el corazón o los pulmones, la orina, o en el sitio de una cirugía reciente. Los síntomas de estas graves infecciones abarcan:
