Gripe aviar o aviaria; H5N1
En este momento, los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades (CDC) de los Estados Unidos no tienen recomendaciones en contra de viajar a los países afectados por el H5N1.
Sin embargo, los viajeros deben evitar las visitas a mercados donde se comercialicen aves vivas en áreas donde exista un brote de gripe aviaria. Las personas que trabajen con aves que pudieran estar infectadas deben usar ropa protectora y máscaras especiales para respirar. El hecho de evitar el consumo de carnes crudas o a medio cocer reduce el riesgo de exposición a la gripe aviaria y a otras enfermedades transmitidas por medio de los alimentos.
