Prevención:

Los viajeros deben evitar las visitas a mercados donde se comercialicen aves vivas en áreas donde exista un brote de gripe aviaria. Las personas que trabajen con aves que pudieran estar infectadas deben usar ropa protectora y máscaras especiales para respirar. El hecho de evitar el consumo de carnes crudas o a medio cocer reduce el riesgo de exposición a la gripe aviaria y a otras enfermedades transmitidas en los alimentos .
