Ecografía intravascular - Riesgos

Riesgos:

Existe un ligero riesgo de complicaciones relacionadas con la angioplastia y el cateterismo cardíaco. Sin embargo, los exámenes son muy seguros cuando los realiza un equipo experimentado. La ecografía intravascular no ofrece ningún riesgo adicional.

Los riesgos de la angioplastia pueden ser:

  • Hemorragia (sangrado) en el área donde se insertó el catéter
  • Daño a un vaso sanguíneo
  • Obstrucción completa del flujo de sangre en una determinada área
  • Arritmias cardíacas
  • Reacción alérgica a cualquier tinte utilizado durante el examen
  • Accidente cerebrovascular

Los riesgos del cateterismo cardíaco pueden ser:

  • Arritmias cardíacas
  • Taponamiento cardíaco
  • Lesión a una arteria causada por un hematoma
  • Presión sanguínea baja
  • Hemorragia (sangrado)
  • Accidente cerebrovascular
  • Ataque cardíaco
  • Reacción alérgica a cualquier tinte utilizado durante el examen
