Cáncer de pulmón (carcinoma broncopulmonar)
Si fuma, deje de hacerlo. Nunca es demasiado tarde para dejar de fumar. Su riesgo de cáncer pulmonar baja considerablemente el primer año después de dejar de fumar. Usted debe igualmente evitar la inhalación del humo proveniente de los cigarrillos, cigarros o pipas de otras personas.
La detección sistemática rutinaria del cáncer pulmonar usando rayos X en el tórax o una tomografía computarizada del pulmón no se recomienda para personas sin síntomas.
