Sobredosis de oxicodona/hidrocodona - Symptom

Síntomas:

Cuando usted toma la dosis correcta o prescrita de estos medicamentos, se pueden presentar efectos secundarios. Además de aliviar el dolor, usted puede sentirse soñoliento, confundido y aturdido, estreñido y posiblemente nauseoso.

Sin embargo, cuando usted toma demasiada cantidad de estos medicamentos, los síntomas se pueden volver mucho más graves y pueden abarcar:

  • Sueño extremo
  • Problemas respiratorios
  • Pupilas pequeñas (el círculo negro en la parte coloreada del ojo)

La primera cosa que probablemente va a ocurrir es que usted se tornará extremadamente soñoliento. Dependiendo de cuánta cantidad tome, la situación puede ir desde luchar para permanecer despierto hasta estar completamente inconsciente: los familiares pueden sacudirlo a uno muy fuerte sin lograr despertarlo.

La complicación más peligrosa de este tipo de sobredosis es el efecto en la respiración. Una sobredosis de hidrocodona/oxicodona puede hacer que la respiración disminuya, se vuelva más superficial y posiblemente se detenga, dependiendo de cuánto medicamento haya tomado. Si alguien mirara a sus ojos, probablemente vería que las pupilas son sumamente pequeñas. Los médicos denominan a esto "pupilas puntiformes", un signo que a menudo se utiliza para ayudar a identificar una sobredosis de hidrocodona/oxicodona.
