Fístula de la arteria coronaria - Symptom

Síntomas:

Los bebés con esta afección normalmente no tienen ningún síntoma.

Si los síntomas en verdad se presentan, pueden abarcar:

  • Molestia o dolor en el pecho
  • Propensión a la fatiga
  • Retraso en el desarrollo
  • Latido cardíacos rápidos o irregulares (palpitaciones)
  • Dificultad para respirar (disnea)

Signos y exámenes:

Esta afección normalmente no se diagnostica hasta posteriormente en la vida. Generalmente se diagnostica durante exámenes que se hacen para otras cardiopatías. Sin embargo, el médico puede escuchar un soplo cardíaco que conducirá al diagnóstico con exámenes adicionales.

Los exámenes para determinar el tamaño de la fístula abarcan:

  • Una radiografía del corazón empleando un tinte para ver qué tan bien está fluyendo la sangre (angiografía)
  • Pasar una sonda delgada y flexible hasta el corazón para examinar las arterias (cateterismo cardíaco)
  • Ecografía del corazón (ecocardiografía)
  • Uso de imanes para crear imágenes del corazón (RM)
