Defecto del relieve endocárdico - Symptom

Síntomas:

Los síntomas del defecto del relieve endocárdico pueden abarcar:

  • El bebé se cansa fácilmente
  • Color de piel azulado (los labios también pueden estar azules)
  • Insuficiencia para aumentar de peso y crecer
  • Neumonía frecuente
  • Inapetencia
  • Piel pálida (palidez)
  • Respiración rápida
  • Latidos cardíacos rápidos
  • Sudoración
  • Abdomen o piernas hinchadas (raro en niños)
  • Problema para respirar, sobre todo durante la alimentación

Signos y exámenes:

Los signos del defecto del relieve endocárdico pueden abarcar:

  • Electrocardiograma anormal (ECG)
  • Corazón agrandado
  • Soplo cardíaco

Los niños con defecto del relieve endocárdico parcial que tienen sólo una comunicación interventricular y las válvulas normales pueden no presentar signos o síntomas del trastorno durante la niñez.

Los exámenes para diagnosticar este defecto abarcan:

  • Ecografía del corazón (ecocardiografía) para ver el flujo de sangre
  • Un electrocardiograma (ECG), que mide la actividad eléctrica del corazón
  • Radiografía del tórax que puede mostrar un corazón agrandado
  • Resonancia magnética (RM) del corazón, la cual suministra una imagen detallada del corazón a través del uso de imanes potentes
  • Cateterismo cardíaco (en algunos casos), un procedimiento en el cual se coloca un tubo delgado (catéter) en el corazón para ver el flujo de sangre y tomar las medidas exactas de la presión arterial y los niveles de oxígeno
