Válvula aórtica bicúspide - Symptom

Válvula aórtica bicomisural

Síntomas:

La mayor parte del tiempo, la válvula aórtica bicúspide no se diagnostica en bebés o niños, debido a que no causa ningún síntoma. Sin embargo, la válvula anormal puede presentar filtración o volverse estrecha.

Los síntomas de tales complicaciones pueden abarcar:

  • El bebé o el niño se cansa fácilmente
  • Dolor torácico
  • Disnea
  • Latidos cardíacos rápidos e irregulares (palpitaciones)
  • Pérdida del conocimiento (desmayo)
  • Piel pálida

Si un bebé tiene otros problemas cardíacos congénitos, estos pueden causar síntomas que llevarán al descubrimiento de una válvula aórtica bicúspide.

Signos y exámenes:

Los signos de una válvula aórtica bicúspide pueden abarcar:

  • Corazón agrandado
  • Soplo cardíaco
  • Pulso débil en muñecas y tobillos

Los exámenes que pueden mostrar una válvula aórtica bicúspide abarcan:

  • Resonancia magnética (RM) del corazón
  • Ecografía del corazón (ecocardiografía)

Si el médico sospecha complicaciones o defectos cardíacos adicionales, otros exámenes pueden abarcar:

  • Radiografía de tórax
  • Resonancia magnética (RM)
  • Examen de la actividad eléctrica del corazón (electrocardiografía)
