Riesgos:

Los hospitales y centros médicos que llevan a cabo cardiocirugías en niños tienen cirujanos, enfermeros y técnicos que están especialmente entrenados para llevar a cabo estas operaciones. También tienen personal que cuidará de su hijo después de la cirugía.

Los riesgos de cualquier cirugía son:

  • Sangrado durante la cirugía o en los días posteriores a ésta
  • Malas reacciones a los medicamentos
  • Problemas para respirar
  • Infección

Los riesgos adicionales de una cardiocirugía son:

Coágulos sanguíneos (trombos)

  • Burbujas de aire (émbolos de aire)
  • Neumonía
  • Problemas con los latidos cardíacos (arritmias)
