Anastomosis ileorrectal

Definición:

Es la extirpación del intestino grueso a partir del íleon (la parte más baja del intestino delgado) hasta el recto. Después de extirparlo, se sutura el extremo del intestino delgado al recto.

Descripción:

A usted le aplicarán anestesia general inmediatamente antes de la cirugía, lo cual hará que quede inconsciente y no pueda sentir dolor.

Durante la cirugía:

El cirujano hará una incisión quirúrgica en el abdomen y luego extirpará el intestino grueso. El recto y el ano se dejan intactos.
El cirujano suturará el extremo del íleon al recto.

Por qué se realiza el procedimiento:

El procedimiento se hace para personas que tengan:

Enfermedad de Crohn que no se haya extendido al recto o al ano
Muchos tumores de cáncer de colon, cuando el recto no está afectado
Estreñimiento grave, llamado inercia colónica
