Después del procedimiento:

El médico o el personal de enfermería le solicitarán levantarse y dar una vuelta tan pronto como el efecto de la anestesia desaparezca, si no le practicaron además una artrodesis vertebral. La mayoría de los pacientes se van para la casa de 1 a 3 días después de la cirugía.

Pronóstico:

La laminectomía para la estenosis raquídea brindará con frecuencia alivio total o parcial de los síntomas.

Los problemas de la columna vertebral en el futuro son posibles para todos los pacientes después de la cirugía de la columna vertebral. Si a usted le hicieron una artrodesis vertebral y una laminectomía, es más probable que la columna por encima y por debajo de la fusión tenga problemas en el futuro. Si usted necesitara más de un tipo de cirugía de la espalda (como laminectomía y artrodesis vertebral), puede tener más probabilidad de problemas futuros.
