Después del procedimiento:

La mayoría de las personas permanecen hospitalizadas durante 3 a 5 días después de esta cirugía, dependiendo del tipo de procedimiento que se hizo. En comparación con la cirugía abierta, usted debe recuperarse más rápidamente, tener menos dolor e irse para la casa más pronto.

Durante una hospitalización, usted puede:

  • Estar en la unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI), donde lo vigilarán atentamente al principio.
  • Tener una sonda vesical.
  • Recibir medicamentos para mantener la sangre diluida.
  • Lo pueden animar a sentarse en el lado de la cama y luego caminar.
  • Usar medias especiales para prevenir coágulos de sangre en las piernas.
  • Recibir analgésicos intravenosos o dentro del espacio que rodea la médula espinal (epidural).

Pronóstico:

La recuperación después de la reparación endovascular por lo general es bastante rápida.

Será necesario que a usted lo vigilen cuidadosamente con el tiempo para ver si hay signos o síntomas de que el aneurisma aórtico reparado está filtrando sangre.
