Riesgos:

Los riesgos de cirugía antirreflujo abarcan:

  • Daño al estómago, al esófago, al hígado o al intestino delgado, lo cual es poco frecuente.
  • Distensión y gases, lo cual dificulta el eructar o vomitar. La mayoría de las veces, estos síntomas mejoran lentamente.
  • Náuseas.
  • Dolor y dificultad para tragar, denominado disfagia. En la mayoría de los niños, esto desaparece en los primeros 3 meses después de la cirugía.
  • Problemas respiratorios o pulmonares, tales como atelectasia pulmonar, lo cual es poco frecuente.
