Ojos bizcos (estrabismo)

La gente es muy sensible a la posición de los ojos de las otras personas. Al mirar la posición de los ojos de otra persona, se puede apreciar con bastante efectividad el sitio hacia donde ella está mirando. La gente también es sensible a los ojos que no estén mirando en la misma dirección, lo cual es una condición conocida como ojos bizcos o estrabismo. Otros términos médicos más específicos se le dan a los ojos que están volteados hacia afuera o hacia adentro o a los que rotan de manera anormal. Todo niño pequeño que tenga algún signo de estrabismo debe ser evaluado inmediatamente, al igual que cualquier estrabismo de inicio reciente que se presente en el adulto.
