La arteriosclerosis de las extremidades es una enfermedad de los vasos sanguíneos periféricos que se caracteriza por el estrechamiento y endurecimiento de las arterias que surten las piernas y los pies. El estrechamiento de las arterias causa una disminución en el flujo sanguíneo. Los síntomas son: dolor en las piernas, entumecimiento, piernas o pies fríos y dolor muscular en los muslos, pantorrillas y pies.
