Las 煤lceras de presi贸n o 煤lceras de dec煤bito son una ruptura o ulceraci贸n del tejido debido a una combinaci贸n del peso del cuerpo en la superficie de la piel y la fricci贸n de una superficie resistente como la cama. Las 谩reas donde las prominencias 贸seas est谩n menos aumentadas por falta de m煤sculo y grasa como los huesos de la cadera, del tal贸n y de los talones del pie son m谩s susceptibles a las 煤lceras de cama. Los pacientes que no se pueden mover son vulnerables a la formaci贸n de 煤lceras de presi贸n cuando permanecen acostados por largos per铆odos de tiempo en la misma posici贸n
