CPER

La colangiopancreatografía endoscópica retrógrada (CPER) es un procedimiento endoscópico utilizado para identificar la presencia de cálculos, tumores o estenosis de los conductos pancreáticos y biliares. Después de que el endoscopio es colocado adecuadamente, se introduce un catéter para inyectar un medio de contraste a través de los conductos. El contraste es visible a los rayos X, y le permite al médico evaluar el calibre, longitud y trayecto de los conductos. El CPER puede realizarse cuando un paciente experimenta síntomas tales como ictericia, dolor abdominal, fiebre, o malabsorción.
