Bronquiolo asmático y bronquiolo normal
El asma es una enfermedad en la cual la inflamación de las vías aéreas causa una restricción del flujo de aire dentro y fuera de los pulmones. Cuando se presenta un ataque de asma, se incrementa la producción de moco, se endurecen los músculos del árbol bronquial y el recubrimiento de los conductos aéreos se hincha, lo que reduce el flujo de aire y produce el característico jadeo.
