Esclerodactilia

El síntoma más clásico de esclerodermia es un tipo de tirantez de la piel conocido como esclerodactilia. Las etapas iniciales de la enfermedad implican hinchazón de los dedos de las manos y, posteriormente, a medida que el tejido conectivo se vuelve fibrótico, la piel de los dedos de las manos y de los pies se torna dura y brillante. Es posible que se vuelva difícil doblar los dedos de la mano y se pueden formar contracturas debido a la tirantez severa de la piel.
