Glándula lacrimal

La glándula lacrimal yace dentro de la órbita sobre la porción exterior de la parte superior del ojo. Esta glándula secreta continuamente lágrimas que humedecen, lubrican y protegen la superficie del ojo. El exceso de lágrimas drena a unos pequeños conductos que se vacían dentro de la cavidad nasal.
