Caja laríngea

La laringe o caja laríngea está localizada en el cuello y realiza algunas funciones importantes en el cuerpo; de hecho, está involucrada en la deglución, la respiración y la producción de la voz. El sonido se produce cuando el aire que pasa a través de las cuerdas vocales las hace vibrar y crea ondas sonoras en la faringe, la nariz y la boca. El tono del sonido está determinado por la cantidad de tensión en los pliegues vocales.
