El impétigo es una enfermedad contagiosa causada por el estreptococo o por el estafilococo que se ve con frecuencia en los niños y provoca una infección cutánea superficial. Ésta se manifiesta por costras amarillas o doradas que generalmente aparecen en el rostro, la parte superior del tronco y los brazos. Este niño también presenta una infección en la nariz.
