< Atras Los nevos congénitos están presentes al nacer y pueden variar de tamaño desde menos de un centímetro (0,5 pulgadas) hasta el nevo gigante "de tronco de bañista" que cubre una gran área del cuerpo. La textura de la piel puede también variar de normal a elevada y de nodular a irregular, pero por lo general los nevos tienen una pigmentación oscura. Los melanomas se pueden desarrollar con mayor facilidad en los nevos congénitos.
