< Atras La aldosterona es una hormona liberada por las glándulas suprarrenales. Ésta es parte del complejo mecanismo que el cuerpo utiliza para regular la presión sanguínea. La aldosterona incrementa la reabsorción de sodio y la excreción de potasio en los túbulos distales de los riñones. La reabsorción del sodio se acompaña por reabsorción de agua, lo cual eleva la presión sanguínea.
