Fuga de LCR
El líquido cefalorraquídeo es el líquido que se encuentra en y alrededor de los órganos del sistema nervioso central (SNC), el cerebro y la médula espinal. Protege al encéfalo y a la médula espinal al actuar como un cojín de líquido. Este líquido permite que los órganos floten, protegiéndolos de golpes o traumas. Dentro del cráneo, el líquido cefalorraquídeo es contenido por la duramadre que cubre al encéfalo. Cualquier trauma o desgarro en la duramadre puede permitir que el líquido se filtre, creando una situación de emergencia.
