Prevención de la acedía

La acedía es una condición que consiste en que los contenidos ácidos del estómago se devuelven al esófago causando dolor en el área torácica. Este reflujo, por lo general, se produce por un debilitamiento del esfínter muscular que está entre el esófago y el estómago. Quedarse de pie o sentado después de una comida puede ayudar a reducir el reflujo que causa la acedía. La irritación continua del revestimiento o mucosa del esófago, como sucede en la enfermedad por reflujo gastroesofágico, es un factor de riesgo para manifestar un adenocarcinoma.
