Biopsia de mucosa

La biopsia de mucosa y piel involucra la remoción de un pequeño pedazo de piel o membrana mucosa. La muestra puede ser extraída de diversas formas: una biopsia exfoliativa (raspando o afeitando una capa fina), una biopsia con sacabocados (utilizando una aguja o sacabocados para obtener una muestra pequeña pero profunda) o una excisión de tejido (cortando para extraer un pedazo de tejido). La muestra se envía al laboratorio para ser aislada e identificar organismos que causan infección.
