El nervio cubital se origina en el plexo braquial y baja por el brazo. Este nervio generalmente se lesiona en el codo a causa de una fractura o dislocación del codo. El nervio cubital se encuentra cerca de la superficie del cuerpo donde éste cruza el codo, de manera que la presión prolongada sobre el codo o la constricción del nervio puede ocasionar daño. La lesión del nervio cubital puede causar impedimento en la movilidad o sensación de la muñeca y la mano.
