Indicaciones:

Si los fluidos, como la sangre o el aire llegan al espacio pleural, el pulmón puede colapsar, evitando un intercambio adecuado de aire. Los tubos torácicos se utilizan para el tratamiento de alteraciones que puedan causar el colapso de los pulmones, tales como:

  • Aire que se escapa de los pulmones hacia el tórax (neumotórax)
  • Hemorragias internas en el tórax (hemotórax)
  • Efectos de una cirugía o de un trauma tóracico (neumotórax o hemotórax)
  • Presencia de abscesos o de pus en el tórax (empiema).
