Colostomía - Serie

Cuidados postoperatorios:

Más del 90% de los casos de colostomía tiene un resultado exitoso. Después de la cirugía, el paciente siente un dolor muy intenso cuando el ano se contrae y se relaja. El dolor se puede aliviar con medicamentos.

Se debe evitar cualquier tipo de esfuerzo al evacuar u orinar, por lo que se utilizan ablandadores de materia fecal. Los baños con agua tibia también proporcionan alivio. Las colostomías se pueden "deshacer" dependiendo del tipo de enfermedad que se esté tratando. A las pocas semanas o meses después de la primera intervención, se hace una segunda cirugía para reconectar el colon.
