Procedimiento

Se hace una incisión sobre la hernia, mientras el paciente se encuentra soñoliento (con sedante) y sin sentir dolor (bajo anestesia local o espinal) o profundamente dormido y sin sentir dolor (bajo anestesia general). El órgano o tejido protruyente es devuelto al interior de la pared muscular, se repara el tejido muscular y luego se sutura la piel.
