Exploración quirúrgica del abdomen o laparotomía exploratoria - Serie

Indicaciones:

La exploración quirúrgica del abdomen o laparotomía exploratoria se recomienda para diagnosticar una enfermedad abdominal no precisable por otros métodos o cuando hay una lesión en el abdomen causada por una herida con arma de fuego o cortante, lo cual es conocido como "trauma contundente". Entre las enfermedades que pueden diagnosticarse con mayor precisión por medio de la laparotomía exploratoria se encuentran las siguientes:

  • Inflamación del apéndice (apendicitis aguda)
  • Inflamación del páncreas (pancreatitis aguda o crónica )
  • Cavidades infectadas (absceso retroperitoneal, absceso abdominal, absceso pélvico )
  • Presencia de tejido uterino en el abdomen (endometriosis )
  • Inflamación de las trompas de Falopio (salpingitis)
  • Tejido cicatricial en el abdomen (adherencias)
  • Cáncer (de ovario, colon, páncreas, hígado)
  • Inflamación del divertículo intestinal (Diverticulitis)
  • Perforación intestinal
  • Embarazo en el abdomen fuera del útero (embarazo ectópico )
  • Diferentes grados de manifestación de cáncer (como el linfoma de Hodgkin)
