Cuidados postoperatorios

Después de la cirugía, el paciente permanece los dos primeros días en la unidad de cuidados intensivos, el período de hospitalización también depende de la magnitud de la cirugía y el grado de monitoreo que se debe hacer a las vías respiratorias. Si no hay complicaciones, la mayoría de los pacientes puede dejar el hospital al cabo de una semana. El período de cicatrización toma hasta seis semanas.
