Cuidados postoperatorios

Después de la cirugía, los pacientes permanecen en el hospital de tres a cinco días. Normalmente, la extirpación de un riñón no produce efectos colaterales en la salud, siempre y cuando el riñón restante esté funcionando bien. En la actualidad, en algunos hospitales se están practicando nefrectomías utilizando técnicas de cirugía laparoscópica.
