La abertura vaginal se encuentra justo debajo de la abertura de la uretra y encima del orificio anal. La uretra, a través de la cual pasa la orina, se extiende hasta la vejiga. El ano se extiende hasta el recto. La abertura vaginal da acceso al canal vaginal que lleva hasta el útero.
