El intestino está compuesto por el intestino delgado y el intestino grueso (colon). El intestino delgado comienza desde el estómago y termina en el intestino grueso. El colon comienza en el extremo final del intestino delgado y termina en el ano. El intestino absorbe nutrientes y agua de los alimentos.
