Anatomía normal:

El esófago transporta los alimentos desde la boca hasta el estómago. El esfínter esofágico inferior es un anillo muscular que se forma en la unión del esófago y el estómago y que se relaja cuando los alimentos pasan desde el esófago hacia el estómago.
