Un CSC requiere una toma simple de sangre, la cual se extrae de una vena, generalmente de la parte interna del codo o la parte posterior de la mano.

Preparación: no se requiere preparación especial para este examen.

Lo que se siente durante el examen:

Cuando se inserta la aguja para extraer la sangre, algunas personas sienten un dolor moderado, mientras que otras sienten únicamente un pinchazo o sensación de punción. Después de extraer la sangre, puede haber una sensación pulsátil.
