Los senos femeninos normales son dos estructuras similares que contienen tejido graso y glandular diseñados para segregar leche. El cáncer de mama es uno de los cánceres más comunes en las mujeres. Los factores de riesgo son, entre otros, historia familiar de cáncer, iniciación del período menstrual a una edad temprana y menopausia tardía.
