Incisión

El tratamiento primario de la enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal se realiza con medicamentos, como esteroides, que pueden disminuir la inflamación y eliminar los síntomas.

La cirugía puede ser necesaria cuando hay secciones del intestino muy inflamadas que no responden a los medicamentos.

Se realiza una incisión en la línea media del abdomen, mientras el paciente se encuentra profundamente dormido y sin sentir dolor (bajo anestesia general).
