Hay varios tipos diferentes de procedimientos de funduplicatura, de los cuales el más común es la funduplicatura de Nissen. En todos los procedimientos se envuelve una parte de la porción superior del estómago alrededor del esófago y se reconstruye el esfínter inferior del esófago.
