Cómo corregir la presentación de nalgas

Si la mujer está llegando a término y el bebé tiene presentación de nalgas, el médico puede intentar voltearlo manualmente a la posición de cabeza. Hay dos formas de hacerlo: Con la versión externa, el médico oprime la parte exterior del abdomen materno para mover al bebé. Con la versión interna, el médico introduce su mano a través de la vagina y del cuello uterino y mueve al bebé desde adentro.

Si el médico no puede reposicionar al bebé manualmente, probablemente será necesario practicar una operación cesárea.
