Procedimiento (segunda parte, transabdominal):
El procedimiento transabdominal es muy parecido al de la amniocentesis. El cirujano inserta una aguja a través del abdomen y útero hasta las vellosidades coriónicas. Al igual que en el procedimiento transcervical, el cirujano utiliza el ultrasonido para determinar la posición del feto y poder llevar la aguja a las vellosidades coriónicas sin causar daños.
