4. Tomar el puño con la otra mano.
5. Efectuar compresiones rápidas hacia arriba y hacia adentro con los puños.
6. Continuar con las compresiones hasta que el objeto sea desalojado o la persona pierda el conocimiento.
Si la persona queda inconsciente, se le debe colocar en el piso, llamar al 911 y comenzar la RCP. Si se observa el objeto que está obstruyendo la vía respiratoria, se debe tratar de retirarlo.
