Nancy Ellish received her doctoral training in occupational health from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, and her master's training in biostatistics from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health. As an assistant professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, she has been actively involved in vision-related screening activities. This work led to her research interest in health services, particularly related to access-to-care issues, health behavior, and health disparities. Dr. Ellish's research is currently funded by the National Eye Institute.
