Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences
Dr. Amir Guerami is a board certified ophthalmologist and an assistant professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his B.A. with a double major in Psychology and Biology from Georgetown University in 2001. In 2005, Dr. Guerami received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Guerami completed a medical internship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland and a residency in ophthalmology in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He then received further specialized training by completing a vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
